The Yocum African-American History Association

Our Mission:


The Yocum African-American History Association is dedicated to the restoration and preservation of the events which shaped the lives and contributions of African-Americans.


Our Vision:


Through partnerships, the Yocum African-American History Association is committed to researching, documenting, preserving, and disseminating information on the history of the African-American community in the United States of America.


Our Goals:



1. Collect, compile, and archive significant information and material related to the African-American experience from the era of slavery until modern times.
2. Promote awareness of the restored integrity of African-American history through the use of online courses, seminars, workshops, special events, and individual oral presentations.

The Yocum African-American History Association is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit association founded by Sandra K. Yocum and co-founded by Frances Presley Rice.
